In 2001, I arrived in Germany with no language skills. Within two months, I secured an internship in a reasearch center of Mercedes Benz at Ulm, which ignited passion for simulation technologies. This led me to RWTH Aachen for a master’s in Computational Mechanics. During my first semister, secured a student job at the Metal Forming Institute provided financial support and deep research insights. Later at the end of my Masters, I received the Best Master Thesis award at a prestigious ASK conference in Aachen, and secured a Research Assistant job at IBF Institute. Here, managed various DFG-funded projects and collaborated with industry tasks. Later, moved to the automotive industry, and won Innovative Project Award at organisation level event. After returning to India in 2021, established a collaboration project with IIT Hyderabad. My eBook shares these experiences to guide Indian students in Germany.
